    In Slovenian, smoking is sometimes – an almost obsolete expression – referred to as 'driving the 'nails' into one's coffin'!?:)
    What I was referring to here, though, was, also, the ‘Western/Global’ civilization: one existing behind the smoke screen of its own, relatively scientific, imaginings: rather small in its circular repetitiousness and predictability, bossy due to its disproportionate self-importance, and, on the whole, deadly to all those involved in it on long-term basis...

  • I suppose you're right; Mihir!:) A 'small is beautiful' way of looking at things... It took me years to come across haiku (I was about 20 at that time), and another twenty or so, to get really interested in it!?:)To me, it's, among other things, pure poetry included, also a tool helping me to teach my ordinary mind to view life without preconceptions imposed upon us by our environment, aggressive media in particular, and by upbringing...
    Maybe you, should, for a start, to get a taste of it, visit David G. Lanoue, who has been translating Kobayashi ISSA, a classical Japanese haiku master (died 1828) for quite some time… 9000 out of 20 thousand Issa’s haiku are availale there… Enough to start with … Here’s the link:
