I had some problem understanding 'a real hoot'... But I like it... I may even decide to change the blog name into 'The Real Hoot of Haiku'or something like that!?:)
I take it you got it then? As in the meaning of 'hoot' being, among other things, (1) the sound that an owl makes, and (2) a very amusing person, thing, event, etc.?
Borut: Beautiful indeed. Sorry i have been so scarce. I am writing the prospectus for my thesis, which is demanding and giving more attention to the art of "seeing" through photography.

I’m in one of my recurring ‘deaf and dumb’ phases myself, Don!?:) … I like the word ‘seeing’ you mention… From what I’ve read of the practices of Amerindian seers I’d say it’s our next step: developing our awareness to the point of being able to go beyond the obvious…:) Seeing what you guys are doing, though, I think I’ll have to get myself a camera first!?:) Let me see!?
When I said 'reading' I probably went a little bit to far... Just trying to decipher the unfathomable depths of coffee grounds. An apprentice of the ancient art so to say!:)

The folly of the world, as Amerindian seers, among others, say, is endless... Wisdom is timeless...!?:)
