A memorable story, Gautami!:) A few days ago I saved an ant from drowning after it had been diving for about a minute in a glass of juice... It took some time for it to recover... It may have returned into the kitchen afterwards, but I have to admit that, among all its brothers and sisters visiting the place daily, it's hard to distinguish who is who...!?:)
Hey, Alan, thank you! Also for additonal information about haiku competition. I like to win... But, unfortunately, I'm not a competitive type... I suppose it's my fear of winning...!?:) Or sheer laziness!?:)

The other day, a sparrow was hit by my ceiling fan. I picked it up and tended to it. And in the evening it was gone. Came back next morning.

Me too, Tikkis! That's why urban sparrows tend to take advantage of the situation, not to say of me...!:)
